This is a replacement for our 5 year old LG OTC microwave. I feel that the control system is not nearly as functional or intuitive as its prior iteration. Why do I have to press cook time to set a 1 1/2 minute time cycle. I wish there was a way to go back to the old controls. If I try to defrost something the readout tells me I am cooking not defrosting. This is confusing and misleading. This is not progression it a regression of a perfectly fine operating system.

Worst microwave i have ever bought. Fan quit and courtesy light stays on a week after installed. Also 2 weeks after fans and light on microwave started popping and smoking so we have not been able to use it. I have notified and 3rd party was supposed to fix. This is over a month later and Im still waiting for parts for them to fix. Absolutely the worst experience i have ever had. I do not believe i will ever purchase another lg product.

It was installed on July 27 and the next day one of the lights stop working. I called Lowes and they said call LG. I called LG and they said call Lowes. I think that stinks for an in use less than 1 day. I will think twice before I use Lowes or LG again.

This is our third LG over the range microwave. I honestly wish it had the old functionality where you could enter the cook time and press start. Now if you forget to push the time cook button before you press any number you have to stop the whole process and start over. In so far as adding cell phone wifi functionality is concerned I think this is a step backward. The last thing I want is to have to rely on my phone to cook my meals. Is there a way to restore the old functionality to this microwave?

First let me explain the 1-star as it was a 4-star for the first 8 years we had this model. The dim interior light was annoying. We purchased this microwave in 2016 and the magnetron recently bellied up. Everything else works except it doesnt heat food anymore. At first we discussed repair vs. replace but now weve decided to replace it with a good range hood like we had before and go back to a small or midsize countertop oven of some kind. If youre wondering why its because even though it was vented the fan was not as strong as the old range hood so it didnt take much to set the smoke detector off. Also the surrounding cabinets have required lots more cleaning to stay on top of the accumulating cooking grease. I would have liked to have known about these 2 cons to consider before purchasing this style microwave.

I got this to replace a LG that the casing started falling apart and the range light was intermittent. I like the ease of using this new one but not impressed with the range light at all. I dont like yellow tint. LG needs to replace the range light with a LED daylight system.

Giving this product 1 star is too much. Wish I never purchased this microwave at Lowes. Its defective hasnt worked since day 1. Food wont heat up and turntable wont spin. Sent a repair man to take a look and now all of a sudden theres now a door issue. Had to track down if the unsuccessful attempt at repairing it was called in. Terrible communication and feels like a dead end.

Since then I have been getting sawdust on the range top every time I open and close the door. It is getting less over time. It was installed on June 15th. Otherwise I really like the microwave.

I replaced my prior over the range microwave that was about 15 years old. This microwave is a big step up. It integrates with my LG range so that when I turn a burner on the stove top the exhaust fan on the microwave starts up. Not a huge deal but a nice feature. So far very happy with my purchase.

I decided to spurge and get a microwave to match my other appliances. It looks good and cooks fast the potato button cooks them just right. I have yet to try a lot of other auto functions. This has some negatives that make me not as satisfied as I could be. One is the fan is the noisiest fans I have ever had it is so loud I often do not use when cooking. I am not sure what made them pick this setup but it is very annoying. Second the light is so dim I cannot use just the microwave light like I did my Broan hood that I really enjoyed. The high light should be low and they should double it for the high. Also you cannot find the light button in the dark maybe touching display could light up display. Third there is nothing to show the first 6 number buttons are quick run timers many of the others show this on display.

The first microwave delivered was defective. LG sent out a serviceman in less than 24 hours after the install. Determined immediately that it needed to be replaced and had me another one in no time. The second one was installed and has been working perfectly. Absolutely LOVE this microwave and highly recommend it Should be getting a new LG range this next week. All kitchen and laundry appliances are LG and have not had a single problem with any of them.
