This is my second Speed Queen washer. I absolutely loved the first one! It was totally non-digital and user friendly. The new model takes away some manual features and forces you to use preset options that can't be reset once the cycle starts. Sometimes you can only choose one option. I replaced the older machine because it was no longer spinning out as dry and I wanted to match the dryer which was purchased first. Definitely regret that decision. I initially fell in love with Speed Queens because of the non-digital control panel. Sadly they are following the same path as other manufacturers.

My house and with it my Soeed Queen. When I moved there was another brand machine and it was so bad after 5 years I was praying for it to break so I could get another Speed Queen. I was glad when the other brand stopped rinsing water!

My machine started making a very weird sound. Technician came out, took some things about. Didn't fix it. Has pretty much no idea of what's wrong. Said he had to contact Furniture Fair where we bought it. Have heard nothing back from anyone. Two weeks! Even called and got no response.

I'm hoping it lives up to its reputation. Bought to replace our Maytag washer which ended up needing major repairs only 3 years in and just after the warranty expired. I will say, the Speed Queen is one of the louder during operation machines we've owned, but it's not much of an issue due to its location in the basement . .

Very very pleased with selection. Yea, pricey but the quality is amazing. A simple comparison of just the washer lids shows the quality. Definitely shorter wash cycles. Can't imagine purchasing another in a very long time

The TC5 is the modern washing machine from the past! I am beyond thrilled that Speed Queen has kept a system going that has worked for decades, and possibly even a century! Speed Queen offers two different washing systems, and one of them is the conventional washing system that us Gen X people remember most! The TC5 is the one with the conventional washing system, and I couldn't be more pleased!!!! Research these washers and dryers, and you'll find that these are in a class all to themselves, and you'll never buy anything else but Speed Queen!

We've actually owned our Speed Queen for three years and we were disappointed when a part broke and had to be replaced. The replacement took two weeks, which for a big family, losing out on a washer for two weeks was very inconvenient. Thankfully, the silver lining is the warranty did cover the fix but man, it would be great to have a "loaner" system with your sellers when the repairs take a long time to happen.

Before I had my own W&D, I'd trundle to the laundromat where the washers were always Speed Queen. I didn't know that I could buy a commercial one of my own. I have owned 6 washers during my laundry life. Bet if I had bought Speed Queen from the beginning, I'd still have it sloshing and washing my clothes today.

I have been using our speed queen for the last couple of months and I am in love. Our clothes are clean, the washer is quick and quiet, and the spin cycle is top notch. I did not rate it excellent because I wish you could choose the water level. You can only choose between a deep fill or a regular fill. I had to wash two very dirty pairs of shoes and I wish I could have an option that uses less water for tiny loads like that.

Except for the hopefully durable but silly electronic/computerized controls replacing tried and true mechanical timers etc, it would be perfect. I'll give an I'd recommend to a friend only if they can afford it. Hopefully I won't experience the aftermarket warranty issues others have. I bought from a reputable dealer.

Looked at all of the Top Brands and NONE of them come close to the Quality of these Machines. Takes me much less time to catch up on my weekly washing and I can load the clothes to the top of the machine and they still come clean. All of the other brands will only allow 70% max machine load.

Bought this to replace 18 year old machine for which parts were not available. Very happy with this Speed Queen. It is faster than expected. Was worried with slower spin speed that items would not be as dry. This has not been a problem. Picked the TC v TR because local appliance repairman said that people do complain that TR does not even agitate hard enough to dissolve powder detergent.

I am satisfied with everything about this washer except for one issue. When I use the ECO/Normal Cycle and select the Extra Rinse option, the washer performs 2 Full Tub rinses. I have had service here and they have confirmed! However, it has been nearly one month and I am waiting to here back from Technical Support!!!

I only used the washing machine about 5 times in the past month since purchasing. I pretty much use the Heavy Duty cycle for everything. I wish it wouldn't stop running water when I lift the lid because I want to rinse the detergent cup. I think it only has 2 fill settings. It either fills about 80% of the way or if you turn on deep fill, then maybe near the top? I wish I could manually adjust the water level. The drum is also small compared to other brands. Other than these minor inconveniences, the machine spins clothes very well. I think I will never experience an imbalance issue for many years unlike all the other washing machines I have used. I sure hope this machine will last for many decades.

This washer is by far better than our past few that only lasted about 5-7 years. This seems more simple with less complicated options. It is more expensive, but a 5 year parts and labor warranty justifies some cost. I'd highly recommend it to anyone wanting a high quality washing machine.

I am enjoying my need speed queen classic. Works well and cleans like the old fashion washers I have had before. I love having a lid I can open and close again! One of the biggest reasons I hated my last machine. My only issue is I wish the original water fill would do when the lid is open, but am getting use to this feature after a month of owning.
