After 2 months of ownership I felt it time to rate this range. My wife loves it! The only feature she hasn't used is the convection oven. We owned a 'convection only' oven in the past and she never cared for it. However she believes this range cooks faster, the oven preheats quicker and cooks faster than any range/oven we've owned in our many years.

I love it. The dual oven does take some time to get used to, because both cook completely differently. The cast iron grates and burner covers do discolor initially and then blend back in. I personally would not have cared, but I do know that some people do.

Purchasing and owning this oven has been the worst choice! Our first oven gave us issues from very early on and it took six months of warranty repairs (and a LOT of inefficient customer service phone calls) to finally get it replaced. Now, the replacement oven is giving me issues and I am just a couple months past the one year warranty. Just as with the first oven, this one appears to have some issues with the gas portion of the bottom oven cavity. This is incredibly dangerous and should be addressed with urgency.

A very nice oven thus far. It works well. One dangerous part, is that with the gas burners, you need to hold the button in the light position for a moment before the flame will ignite. If you turn the knob too far, it will not ignite and spill gas into the room. This is concerning.

Low Bottom Oven

The top oven is very small with only two rack positions. I have had to use the lower position to accommodate a taller baking dish and the bottom burned. The main oven is the lower oven and it's low, all the way to the floor, so think about that when you are considering the purchase. We had to buy the extra piece on the range for $80 because we won't use the griddle. Would not buy this oven again. Would not recommend.

My double ovens make my house smell like propane

I am VERY unhappy. I have smelled gas from this stove from the day it was installed. I am waiting for a call back from Best Buy for a service call. I purchased it to replace another brand stove that was a lemon and was replaced with another lemon. It ws very discouraging and the service was always cancelling. I will never buy Samsung or purchase from Lowes again. Sadly I have other people tell me the same thing had happened to them. I hoped this oven would be a great experience. It has been a very bad experience again. I have a convection microwave I used while I had the very bad other stove and I am using that little oven still with instead of my new GE stove. It is very disheartening to have such a problem. The men who installed this double oven took 21/2 hours to do so. There was a LOT of repeated hammering and screwing. They were concerned about the small size of my gas line and said they could make it work. At one point my kitchen and other rooms smelled strongly of propane. I asked them to please stop and let me get someone else to install it. They stated there was no problem and continued to work. They went outside repeatedly and discussed things. They were two hours late on arrival and said they still had more deliveries to make further away from me. They stated that they came from about an hour away to deliver my oven. I spoke to Best Buy yesterday and they said they have no appoints open for service and were expediting my service to verify my ovens are safe to use. We have NOT moved or tried to do anything ourselves. Best Buy said someone would call me in the next 24 to 72 hours. I know I have had it since November but I only turned the ovens on a few times to see it they might work better. Sometimes the bottom stone made a noise like you set from a BBQ when it doesn't light on first try and the gas builds up and makes a noise when finally ignites. I am not new to propane ovens. I had a busy speciality bakery and ran 4 good quality GE ovens an average over 16 hours a week in my business for over 30 years. I never smelled propane in all that use and time.

Oven not getting to temperature

Still having problems with getting the temperature correct. It takes longer to get to the set temperature. The buzzer goes off saying it™€™s at the set temperature but it™€™s not. Still trying to get it set correctly. Otherwise the range top is working perfectly. Don™€™t like the middle grill top Never heats evenly and is always needing to be cleaned. THINK TWICE BEFORE PURCHASING

We couldn™€™t be more UNhappy with a product than we are with this stove! We had a gas stove many years ago in an apartment, so when we were having difficulty controlling the temperature of the burners on our most recent electric stove, we decided to make the switch back to gas. We purchased our stove from Lowe™€™s just under 1 year ago. Every cook in our family strongly dislikes this particular gas stove, most importantly because of the very poorly designed air fryer feature. At times, during use of the air fryer, the stove emits a very noticeable smell of gas. It is not a consistent problem, but it happens enough to cause health concerns, above all else! When we are using the air fryer feature, we often become lightheaded and must open windows and put on fans™€¦.not at all ideal on freezing cold winter days, or on days where we have the air conditioning running. We had guests over recently and had to scrap part of our plan for dinner, as all of us became lightheaded when it was turned on. The uneasiness on our guests faces was quite concerning. In addition to the smell of gas, using the air fryer causes a mess in the entirety of the bottom oven. If you™€™ve ever used an air fryer, you know the mess that is created during the frying process. Imagine that in a large oven! Not only is the air fryer ™€œbasket™€ (that does not come with the oven and will cost you extra $) a mess, but so is the oven rack that it rests on, as well as the interior of the oven. The grease that splatters everywhere during the frying process is terrible! In order to protect the oven™€™s interior as best we can, we have placed a foil lined cookie sheet on the bottom rack. We change the foil constantly due to the drippings and splatter. We™€™re not sure if this impacts the ability of air to circulate properly, but it is almost a necessity. Last night, we air fried 2 breaded chicken cutlets on 400 for 20 minutes, flipping the cutlets over midway through air frying. They came out very blonde in color and squishy in texture. No crispness at all! In addition, when there is the slightest buildup of drippings and splatter, smoke billows out from behind the back burners and the automatic fan feature of our microwave (which is mounted above the stove) goes on and runs for quite a while. As for the top oven, it only offers the ability to bake. You cannot broil with it. It holds 2 racks, but they are only able to be set about 1 inch apart. You can only use both racks if the items/item on the bottom rack are not too tall, or will not rise much during baking. Overall, this oven is something that we deeply regret purchasing, and if this is what to expect when using a gas stove, we truly understand the desire of some areas to ban their use altogether. Definitely take a close look at its features and the lack of common sense that went into the design, as well. Hope this review helps someone else.

We bought it at a scratch and dent appliance store having a scratch on the left lower side of the stove that can't be seen when installed. We paid $750. Free delivery and still with the one year manufacturer warranty with the same option to extend it.

Had this range/oven for less than 4 weeks. The double oven does not heat up and the lower oven does not turn on at all but the gas does leaving a horrible gas smell. Called GE and they are not able to come until Christmas Eve. Needless to say my annual Christmas cookies are ruined!!!

I havent Been able to try the oven extensively because it was just installed, but it has some great features. Love the griddle rather than a 5th useless burner. The capacity of the upper oven is smaller than i thought It would be but the bottom oven is larger for a turkey etc.

Overall I got everything I wanted in a gas range. I love the double ovens. It was the biggest selling point for me. There also seems to be more space for cooking than my old stove. I also enjoy the griddle we have cooked sandwiches and eggs so far and it was great. The only complaint I guess would be the air fryer setting is not as good as our actual air fryer. Also setting up the bottom oven for propane was not easy. It was really hard to get the bottom off. But that™€™s only a one time thing

I had been wanting a double oven stove for a long time since most holidays the gathering is at my house and there are always multiple dishes that need to go in the oven at the same time. So far I am quite pleased with my oven. My family loved it for the convenience it provided for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Worse appliance ever! Worse customer service ever!

Has never worked correctly since install, Burners yellow flame, oven set off smoke and CO detectors. Repaired twice through Bodewell. Technicians said they could do nothing else. Gas company red flagged the unit and said we cannot use it because of high CO gas levels. GE refuses to give an exchange and refund. Never buy GE again.
