I like the fridge and the set up, but the shelves need to be heavier. My shelves sag in the middle, but there is not a lot of weight on them. They seem to need a center support. The snack box is hard to get things in the back out. Also, I am having an issue with my stuff freezing in the fridge part. People say it is from having too much in the fridge, but I really don't have that much. We will see and keep trying to figure it out.

Good but slight issues with doors

Refrigerator is a great size, nice and open, ice machine cranks out ice even for our family. Only problem is the door has gradually gotten out of alignment and we have to physically push the door shut. This results in a bad seal - so we get condensation off and on. Now the freezer drawer squeaks. Big issue is when I try to fill out a service under warranty it says I need to pay $119 for a visit. Not sure what to do. This replaced a very similar LG unit which nobody in the world will work on. It only lasted 2 and a half years. Hoping for higher quality with this purchase.

Very happy with the refrigerator except that it is very noisy. Plenty of room in the frig and freezer compartments. Lighting is great. Since the refrigerator is near our living room, I can hear its almost constant hum and clicking sounds.

Seal on top door of fridge is failing after 3 months. The first fridge had to be returned after 1 day because the door would not close completely . The replacement is failing after just 3 months. lso - ice maker shut off button does not work. Love the finish on the outside ( stainless steel) but would not recommend to purchase. Will be calling GE tomorrow to see what can be done.

The most annoying fridge ever

I have had this fridge for a few years. About a year into it, it stopped closing tightly and beeps all the time. When opening the freezer, it pushes the fridge door open too, so using both doors causes it to beep excessively. Now it is starting to beep even after I have shut it hard from the previous beep. It sometimes waits until you are deeply asleep to start beeping. I am going to have to buy a new fridge because this one is intolerable.

We love this refrigerator! It is as roomy as our previous french door unit. The icemaker makes loads of ice and does it rapidly. We do miss the water in the door, but we have plenty of room inside for a water pitcher so we are adapting. We wanted a simpler refrigerator so we would have fewer opportunities for issues. The cooling is much colder than our previous one.

Recurring problems with ice maker/water filter

I've had this refrigerator for 2.5 years. I've had no issues other than an annoying issue with the ice maker not working on regular basis which has required a hard reset by unplugging. I am now having to replace the water filter system to see if that will make the ice maker work. I've had a repairman out to look at this twice.

Bought in November 2025, it is very quiet running compared to my old (smaller) fridge. Luckily it fit in old space for it! Phew! Refrigerator capacity is a lot more. But 4 stars because freezer capacity is a quarter less than advertised because ice tray takes up half of the top drawer.

I love how spacious this fridge is and I love having the freezer on the bottom. However, the top right side of my fridge indents inward. Therefore I cannot hang anything magnetic on it, which is a huge disappointment. The main issue I have with this refrigerator is the veggie and fruit drawers freeze items therefore ruining all fruits and veggies I put in there. I have adjusted the temperature on the fridge and freezer many different ways. I even put towels down inside the drawers. This is just a huge disappointment. I'm not using the ice maker as I do not have a water line but I am fine with that. 2 years later a month after the warranty expired, I am having compressor issues. Very sad.

There has to be a better way to separate two compartments in the freezer section than to have this flimsy plastic drawer be in the way all the time. It would be 5 stars except for the drawer.

I love everything about this refrigerator, except the door closing. It fits tight, and you have to push it closed, hard. One time before going to bed, I hadn't checked to see if it was closed tight, and it stood ajar all night, causing the frig to run all night.

Full disclosure, I purchased this fridge NEW at a scratch and dent store. It is for my garage so I didn't care about aesthetics. Also no need for a icemaker. It is quiet. Fridge and freezer capacity is generous. I do wish the shelves were split into two smaller shelves instead of one solid shelf going across. It does seem a little flimsy in the middle. It looks like the shelves could use some more support in the middle. It is a spare fridge so I don't expect it to ever be completely filled, so hopefully the shelves won't break. My biggest complaint so far is the plastic divider in the freezer is really really cheaply made, yet very expensive. I was going to purchase another one so I can make another section, but it is $107.00-130.00 just for that part!!! It is literally the flimsiest piece of plastic you can get.

This has been my worst experience

This is the first time I™€™ve ever had to leave a bad review, but my experience with GE Appliances has been extremely disappointing. I received my fridge on October 31st, and it arrived damaged. A technician was sent out but was unable to fix the issue. GE then sent a replacement™€"supposedly a new unit™€"which also arrived damaged. I called on 11/13 to request a third unit, and I was told it would be delivered on 11/18. However, when I called today to confirm the delivery, I was informed that there is no order under my name. This entire process has been incredibly frustrating and unacceptable.

The plastic bins are flimsy and one came broken. The plastic parts in general seem to have every excess penny engineered out of them .GE had no mechanism to replace just the broke door shelf according to the retailer. Their solution was to send me a whole new fridge in another two weeks. only had it a week and it still works. The ice maker works fine. Check back in a couple of years. Quiet™€¦but I™€™m deaf. I absolutely love this fridge!! It's spacious, the drawers are deep, the freezer gives me the capability to organize frozen items.

Rattles

This thing rattles. And GE couldnt find a repairman in my location. So it rattles const when the compressor is running. Bought from home depot. So local GE dealer won't repair it. Not buying from Home Depot again and very unhappy with it. But I'm stuck with it.
