Very very disappointed. I wanted to love this espresso machine so much. My entire kitchen consist of CafÃ appliances. I got this as my top wedding gift and from the moment I got it until now it hasn™™t stayed reliable. The machine leaks water from the bottle constantly, even though the catch tray isn™™t full. I™™ve had to repurchase the hopper piece twice since it broke and now the grinder just stopped working. I™™ve found every way to clean and take care of it but nothing is working.

It™™s only been 3 days and already having issues with the grinder. I cleared it twice yet the grinder malfunction light keeps going on. The espresso shots that I was able to make were not equal amount of espresso. Some were just a few drops for a double. I prefer the cheaper Nespresso machine that I had than this one

The machine was having issues of water coming from the button and the coffee grinder gets stuck all the time. The machine was replaced and I™™m still having the same issue with the water dripping from the button and the grinder getting stuck.

I purchased this item in December, 2024. While still under warranty, I had to exchange the item because the grinder stopped working. In March, 2026 I had to file a claim with the extended warranty that I paid for due to the the espresso machine stopped functioning suddenly during normal use. When attempting to brew espresso, water does not pass through the coffee grounds or portafilter as expected. The machine powers on, but no espresso is produced. The extended warranty only covered what I paid for the machine and now the machine cost more money. It is very disappointing to pay this kind of money from a reputable company and I have gone through two machines in a short period of time.

When it works its fine. It doesnt heat up hot enough, and don't say use the cup warmer, cause that doesnt even got hot enough to use as a hand warmer. It is loud! Like obnoxiously loud. And it breaks. So flipping easily. Wasn't home one day and suddenly got notifications in the app that my hopper needed to replace. Not just one notification, but >100. No one else uses it but me, so when I get home I take it apart, clean everything, reassemble and it continues to intermittently work but still occasionally gives me the error until finally that stops working. Try a replacement hopper, doesnt do it. Try the help line- not helpfully. So do not recommend. Mine was just over 2 years old and I only used it 3x/week at most.

I don™™t typically leave reviews. But I am highly disappointed. I received this as a birthday present last year and have had nothing but problems with it. Can™™t connect to WiFi. Leaking water. Inconsistency grinding of beans. The kicker is the last clean cycle I have performed it is stuck on clean. After reading in this and watching videos. They say to unplug this for 5-10 minutes this didn™™t work. Another video stated to updaei through the app. Unfortunately you can only due this if it™™s connected to WiFi. Unfortunately I have decide to get rid of this and hope my next machine is if better quality.

The second unit is working. The first unit stopped functioning properly after less than 2 months of use. GE did the right thing and honored the 1 year warranty and sent a new unit after some back and forth and requiring arduous steps for a replacement.

Absolutely terrible espresso machine. I™™m now on my second one, but should™™ve stopped at the first. Motor burned up on both wishing 6 months even with routine cleaning and maintenance. I™™ve read many other reviews saying the same things happened to them. (It shouldn™™t. I™™ve worked at coffee shops and have never dealt with this.) Customer service said there was nothing they could do because my warranty was up, even though the second one that was sent in replacement of the first that stopped working was within the year, and that ™just happens™ with them. Nothing they could do to help even after so much money spent. Will never do business with them again. Stay away!

I loved my Cafe Espresso but it officially has stopped working. I have tried customer support, I bought mine in May 2025 and it stopped working this October 2025. The grinder constantly gets clogged even though I clean it weekly and it has come to the point where it just doesn't work. For spending almost $600 on a espresso machine to only work 6 months, I wouldn't recommend!

The grinder went out after almost a year of using it. I kept up today on all the routine maintenance and cleaning up the grinder weekly and use high-quality espresso beans, but it was burnt out and basically melted when I called GE it was right past my year warranty so they offered no help. This is an expensive purchase for it to last no longer than a year. It does pre-ground espresso beans well still.

We purchased this unit directly from Cafe. Our machine leaks HEAVILY during every use and when it™™s turned off. We have come home multiple times to water on the floor and near the outlets behind the machine because it leaks so terribly. This is a safety hazard. Customer service is a waste of time since we are out of the 1 year ™warranty™. The words on the buttons also disappeared after the first months of use. Just not worth your money. Save up for the breville and get a protection plan, which is what we™™ll be doing.

The replacement unit has now failed just a year later. Unfortunately, GE will not replace it again. No one ever reached out to me via email as the response says I loved this espresso maker BUT there is clearly a product defect causing water leakage even when the water tray is empty. I got my first one in 2023 and a month into usage the leaks started happening™¦ I was able to get a replacement but the same thing began happening to the replacement as well. I tried talking to customer support to figure out if this is a known product issue and what the manufacturer is doing to fix it because if they™™re not it™™s a clear violation of the FTC but all they could do is transfer me in circles and then told me to write (yes, write) a letter to the company. Clearly if GE actually wanted to hear how their products were performing they™™d provide an easier way for customers to provide feedback on potential product defects. This is a small appliance™¦ I can™™t imagine purchasing a larger one and getting this type of support

Do not buy this product! After buying this product, our first machine stopped grinding beans after about 7 months. Under the 1 year warranty, we got a new machine shipped to us and all was well ... for about 2 weeks. That is when the grinder broke down again. After fighting with customer service we got a refund for the machine. However, the hassle is not worth it. A $500 espresso machine should not have these issues after less than a year of use.

So sad to say that after three years my Bellissimo Espresso Machine stopped working. One morning I turned it on and the hot water, steam, and WiFi lights were blinking. It will grind coffee beans but it will not push a shot, hot water, or steam. I sent a message to customer support and no answer. I clean the grinder and follow all cleaning instructions like the instructions pamphlet say. The instruction pamphlet says when all the lights are blinking it™™s an over pressure issue. I understand that grind size will affect the pressure. It is very sad that this machine has only lasted three years. For a beginner it was very easy for me to use. The only con I have about the machine is that it leaks all over the counter when it is cooling down. No matter if you drain the water catcher.

this machine is absolutely terrible. The water leaks and has caused system issues that mess up the whole machine as well as creating a huge mess. Initially, my computer system was affected and the machine wouldn™™t pull a shot, now the grinder doesn™™t work because water runs through that. For this machine to be $400+ is highway robbery because it doesn™™t last more than 2 months.

It is beautiful, lovely and I enjoy the espresso/coffee it makes. The latte frother can be really loud and after two weeks the coffee burr has already jammed with coffee. Once I knew how to fix it, it wasn™™t bad to do so. However, I had it on the suggested grinding and I don™™t think it should get clogged so early in use.

Do not buy this piece of junk! GE should be embarrassed for releasing such an expensive machine that falls flat on every metric. Try pulling a shot and getting your temp over 160 degrees Fahrenheit is nearly impossible. I was able to get to 170 a time or two by fidgeting with the steam wand pressure but even doing that I topped out at 170. The app will say that you can set the temp as high as 208 but even GE customer service will tell you that™™s a lie. They say the pump can get to 15 bar but if they can™™t even get something as simple and critical as temp who knows if the pump is calibrated properly. This thing is a kid™™s toy and not worth $100 let alone the advertised price of $500 or whatever. I feel like I was really suckered by a pretty face on this one. Lesson learned when dealing with GE and their Cafe line.

The espresso maker was boxed very well with no issues. Quick start guide was written well and very informative. Using the default settings with a grind of 8 produced a slightly fast shot, but adjusting the grind, dosage, and tamping pressure resulted in a very good shot. Frothing using the steam wand produced very fine bubbles with a near professional foam. The bulk of the negative reviews seem to come from not fully reading the manual or the process. This machine is a very affordable entry into making espresso from home and should either do it for most people or may lead to a more powerful machine purchase later. So far, so good!

My parents spent $500 on this machine for their daughter for Christmas, over their budget but thinking it was worth it for me. After six months the grinder would jam consistently, both when grinding beans and when attaching the ground espresso to make the beverage. My dad is a mechanical engineer and wasn™™t able to fix the jam after countless months. I™™ve tried to fix this machine and it™™s impossible, definitely Not worth $500!

I purchased this machine in May 2024 for mothers day as it matched our appliances. The grinder malfunctioned after one month of use. I was able to return it and the replacement machine malfunctioned almost immediately. The representative for GE said it was a user error. I've owned multiple espresso machines and never had an issue "descaling or cleaning" them. This is the worst machine that ever existed. Stay away at all cost. I have since opened up a credit card charge back to the retailer Williams and Sonoma who has also denied me a refund. There are so many better espresso machine's on the market. I refuse to give this machines a 3rd chance. Please don't let the great looks of machine this fool you.

If I could give a zero review I would. I moved out of the country specifically the US with this machine. I had purchased it for myself as a Christmas gift. Fast forward to a few months from the time of the move and the machine turns on but does nothing. I™™vse spent two hours long distance to be passed around on the found only to chat with some of the rudest customer service employees I™™ve ever experienced. One out of 3 attempted to be helpful. Do not buy this, it™™s expensive and does not work. It™™s a pretty item to add to your counter top but is as useless as their customer service.

Bought ours 2/22. Surface printing on buttons wore of in a matter of weeks. Despite regular cleaning per app notice it started to drip water around grinder when pulling shots after two years and problem has gotten progressively worse now also dripping out of steam wand seeming to indicate leaking water/brew/steam valve inside. Nice copper finish on portafilter has also nearly completely worn off. Disappointing life for a $530 appliance.

The grinder has already stopped working after 8 months, and the cleaning feature also has malfunctioned. The machine over pressurizes while ONLY using the steamer wand.
