I purchased 2 of these coffee pots and after a year both the coffee pots the top of the handles corroded because of washing and popped up. They look terrible and replacements are 79.00 plus shipping The water tower towards the coffee pot the paint bubbles and chips.

We really liked this since it matched our appliances, but like many others, ours just broke right outside of the one-year warranty window. We followed the maintenance recommendations regularly and would clean it weekly. The machine will say it's brewing (in-person and on the app), but the machine doesn't brew. The descaler was working, but nothing else. Now we have to spend another $200+ finding a new one.

Carafe sensor problem

The coffee making is fine but after a little more than one year the carafe sensor located in the base of the machine stopped working, preventing the coffee from being brewed. I was able to bypass the problem by unscrewing the machine base and closing the contacts at the sensor connector miniplug. This is a partial fix as the machine would now brew even if the carafe is not in place, but unfortunately GE does not make replacement sensors available. It should because this is a common problem reported by several other customers (see earlier postings in this thread).

We were replacing a Ninja 12 Cup Coffee Maker with a heated station for the carafe, The Carafe is amazing keeps the Coffee Hot for over an hour, It brews quickly but does not offer a stopper if you remove the carafe while brewing that is why I gave it 4 stars I would still purchase it again. You also can not remove the water reservoir to take to your sink you have o take the water to the coffee maker that waalso a negative.

I am very disappointed in this coffee maker, it seems to have a known issue that the coffee maker after less than a year of use gets stuck in a descaling process rendering it unusable. I have followed multiple threads of others in the same situation. This is the second coffee maker I have had this occur on, the first being replaced for the same issue. I have followed the steps in the manual as well as anything I can locate online. I have owed other brands of coffee makers that have lasted years before having any sort of problems but like many chose this one because it matched the rest of my appliances. I would encourage others to select a different brand if their morning coffee is as sacred as it is to me.

Total crap, broke within a year and their warranty is just a run around. Also, worst coffee maker I've had in years. Don't fill it too full or it overflows the grounds. Stay away if you want something reliable and can make coffee without grounds in it!

Good tasting coffee when it worked

When the coffee maker was working it made a really good tasting cup even with grocery store can coffee. First pot made was using 203 degrees and bold strength. It definitely made a bold cup. Then we started using the Gold setting and it made really good tasting coffee so we stayed with that. it was one of the first makers I've had where there is a notable different in the strength settings. It worked for 2 weeks, but after being away for 4 days, it made a lukewarm pot of coffee on auto brew the next morning. We then tried running just a pot of water through. It wouldn't even start the brew process. I suspect the heating element burned up. We contacted customer support and they are sending a replacement for the 2 week old appliance. Disappointing to say the least, especially at the cost of the appliance and it seemingly having a failed heating element so soon. I do wish the capacity was 2 cups larger. We are so used to a 12 cup maker and this one is 10. it makes you cut back a bit the amount you put in a cup.

We love the interface and its features especially the ability to schedule the start to brew. We load up before we go to sleep and timer the start just before we wake up to have coffee ready in the morning. And also it keeps the coffee warm for a long time.

This machine suddenly stopped working after 1 year. I have tried to descale 3 times now, I use unplugged for over 2 minutes and plugged back in. Nothing I have done works. I he a clicking noise when it attempts to go into a brew cycle but then nothing happens. I have kept this machine very clean for the last year. Terrible product. For $300, it should last several years

I am so disappointed especially with Crate & Barrel telling me to take it up with the manufacturer. I do and they say, "mam, this is a business" and will not be replacing it. VERY disappointed in the coffee pot. 2 days without coffee. There is NO reason for a $300 /7 month old coffee pot to NOT brew. At all. No reason for a 'software update' for COFFEE. I did connect to wifi, updated the software, it's been descaled, which also was not an easy process. Filters are current. Push the button, nothing happens. Unplug and replug, nothing. I am so disgusted. A coffee pot should NOT be complicated. I SHOULD be able to set it up for auto brew and have it do it for more than 7 or 8 months. I SHOULD be able to push a button and brew now. This machine is NOT worth $300. I am ready to go to Walmart and buy a Mr. Coffee and donate this stupid pot to the thrift store. Please note, I bought the ENTIRE Cafe collection, a stove, an over the range microwave/airfryer/convection; a refrigerator, the 2 door oven/range and the coffee pot. Spent about $12,000 last JULY. I expect EVERYTHING to work for more than 8 months. What a complete waste of money.

Worked great for a time. Was asked to descale and did so. Ever since descaling now it won™™t brew at all. Solution is to unplug and replug in which was done multiple times. Water reservoir doesn™™t come off so bascally no way to solve air in the system if that is the problem. Basically stuck with a $300 kitchen paperweight now as out of warranty. Would rather buy something that can come apart and fix then have something with only one solution that doesn™™t work.

Handle peels in less than a year

Makes a good cup of coffee BUT the handles on the crafts are peeling in less than a year. I have 2 makers , one thermal and the other glass both are peeling. To replace the glass craft is $70.00 and the thermal is $107. Not worth replacing time to change. From what I've read online it's a common problem and GE response is: sorry. Just sell a replacement handle.

We only used our coffee make a few times and it went into a descale mode; it doesn™™t brew coffee anymore. It only descales; the only function that works. We have had it on the counter for a long time to match with the rest of the Cafe appliances, and now considering throwing it away. If zero star was an option, that would be my rating of this product. This is a major upgrade fro our conventional drip coffee maker. The warming plate was very inaccurate and was causing our coffee to taste bitter. The key to this model is the thermal carafe. Our coffee is heated only once during the brew process and transferred to the carafe. The coffee stays warm for nearly 3 hours.

The app did NOT work properly while setting up the connection with the coffee maker. It was only until bluetooth was activated (after googling online for 30+ minutes) that the connection was established. Horrendous interface. The brewing is also not as smooth as a traditional (simple) coffee maker. Overall, this is not worth its selling price.

THIS IS A GREAT COFFEE MAKER. The only issue I have is that the copper handle is peeling. It is an eye sore as I have all the GE Cafe appliances in my kitchen and this is the only one with blemishes. it is very disappointing as the coffee maker was not cheap. The peeling copper is the only reason I did not give this product 5 stars. I would love the company to "make this right" for all the customers having this same issue.

This is the worst coffee machine I've ever had. It's not even been 9 months and already have issues with it not turning on. Called customer service 3 times and their standard answer is to descale it; I've already done that, the light is NOT on, and I'm tired of the same answer, different day. Coffee grounds continue to seep into the carafe when using the maximum amount of recommended coffee ground scoops for the maximum amount of water for 10 cups of coffee. The heating element (hot plate) is inconsistent in the amount of time it stays on after brewing.

It's average at best. Water container should be able to be taken off for convenience. Lid on the carafe is difficult to put back on. Controls aren't super user friendly. Definitely not worth the price tag. Had to call customer service to get the wifi settings to work correctly. Direction are very poorly written.

Not very impressed n the coffee maker, they last just over 12 months, or the first one we took back to store and received a replacement because it quit brewing within 2months. Love the aesthetic of this coffee maker and overall brews a good cup of coffee. However, after a year of using (of course after the warranty expired) the display stopped functioning. Now it is very difficult to tell how many cups we have selected to brew or to set the auto brew function. For a $300 coffee maker this was very disappointing

This coffee pot is the worst. After 1 month the silver finish started to wear off. Then, even set at 10 cups, it would quit brewing at 6. We repeatedly reprogrammed and the issue was never fixed. Kept flashing ERR 3 messages. No information available on what that means. Support staff wanted all the information I had already given them sent again via email with a video. I just want a cup of coffee.

We received this coffee maker as a wedding gift and it worked just fine for the first year we had it. Then when I was prompted to descale the machine and after following the directions in the app the machine failed to finish its descale process. After searching online for a solution with no results I got in contact with customer support. After being transferred 5 times through the same 5 departments I finally got to someone that tried to help. I told them my problem and they determined it to be a software issue that cannot be fixed with a tech visit. I went through the process of submitting a warranty claim but because this gift was purchased in July but we never started using it until months later we were out of the warranty window. So for anyone looking to purchase this item be aware that your coffee maker could just never work again even after following the all instructions and you better hope it happens within the first year or else you are out hundreds of dollars with no way of fixing it.

Absolutely love this coffee pot. Style and function are both fantastic. And it brews quickly. The opening in the top of the carafe is big enough to get your hand in to clean the pot too.

When I first acquired this it brewed extremely fast, the more I use it the slower the brew time. The capacity is standard of all coffee makers. I must say the carafe insulation could use some improvement as it loses temperature raqther quickly. It is confusing to set up and I still need to refer to the manual for certain functions.

The digital numbers for the cups are not clear. I have to scroll through the numbers to eventually figure out the number I™™m looking for. Also, the C ON CAFE has peeled off even though I don™™t wash the base of the machine. The shiny rim at the base where the coffee comes out seems rusty in 2 places. The spout makes no sense because there™™s a complete rim inside the pot which prevents coffee from coming out smoothly. Poor design. It™™s a handsome machine and makes fine coffee but poor design and poor quality materials. The is an additional complaint. While In the process of descaling my machine, I noticed the copper covering on the top of the handle area is bubbling in 2 places and will eventually crack and chip off.

I cannot imagine a better coffeemaker than this one! It looks elegant and sophisticated on my countertop. Visitors are always commenting on the style and beauty as well as the brew it produces. A other great feature is it™™s ease of use - WiFi takes care of you. The coffee aroma is the first thing you notice upon awakening!

We have really enjoyed the look of this coffee maker and the coffee it produces, but after less than three years the copper coating on handle is flaking off making it dangerous to handle the carafe without getting scraped. Extremely disappointing quality, especially considering the cost of this product.
