Always Know When We Will Arrive
Waiting around for a delivery can disrupt your daily routine. But at Olumâ€™s, we provide a three-hour delivery window, so you know exactly when you can expect your item to arrive. Plus, when you opt for text message notifications, youâ€™ll receive a message three days prior to the scheduled delivery, giving you plenty of time to reschedule if needed. Friendly, Courteous Delivery
Before our team of trained delivery professionals arrives at your home, weâ€™ll inspect your product to help ensure itâ€™s in proper working condition. During delivery, our professionals will lay down appropriate floor coverings to prevent damage to household surfaces and remove all packaging from your product for recycling â€“ last year alone, we saved over 59,000 tons of packaging from entering landfills.
After unboxing your item, the delivery professionals will hook up your appliance (if applicable), and ensure that your product is level for peak performance and efficiency. Before we go, our dedicated team will offer basic instructions on the operation of your new appliance or electronics, and haul away your existing piece of equipment.*

Track Your Delivery
Due to traffic, weather and routing we cannot give you an EXACT delivery time, but we can give you a 3-hour window of when to expect delivery. An automated system will call you the afternoon/evening prior to your delivery to provide you with the 3-hour window. If you cannot accept delivery of your items and need to reschedule, please call our Customer Care Department at 607-729-3600 to speak with a representative.
We will level your new appliance to the existing floor surface, however, we will not place blocks, shims, etc, under the wheels or feet of any appliance in order to achieve a leveled appliance.
Empty Boxes and Packing Materials
We will remove all boxes and packing material of the delivered items. However, you may request any of the factory packing materials to remain at your home.
Path of Delivery
Please be sure passageways to the location of the new purchase is clear of any obstruction which could impede delivery or cause injury. This includes clearing the driveway and entrance to your home of any building debris, ice, snow, mud, furniture, etc.
Alterations to your Home
Removing door jams, door casings, molding, railings, etc, in order to clear the path of delivery must be completed before the arrival of our delivery team. If necessary, our delivery team will remove standard doors to accommodate the new product, but Olum's assumes no liability for damage resulting from performing this service.
Installation Old Appliance Removal or Relocation
We will recycle your old appliance(s) for no charge on a one-for-one basis. We will not transport your old appliance to another address.
Refrigerator or Freezer Removal
Please remove all food and fully defrost all freezers. If the unit is connected to an existing water line it must be disconnected prior to delivery.
Please remove all laundry from the machine.
Clothes Washer Removal
Please remove all water and laundry from the machine.
Unit must be disconnected and removed from under the counter.
BUILT IN APPLIANCES
The following appliances and or service are considered "built in" and will not be installed or connected by our delivery team. Arrangements can be made with our installation team to have your built-in appliance installed. (See the installation page)
The following are typical built-in appliances requiring installation by the Olum's installation team:
Electric Ranges - The manufacturer does not provide a new 220V electrical cord with new electric ranges. If you purchase a new cord and it is the proper length, we will attach it and plug it in, set the range in place, and the level the range. Delivery teams are not permitted to "hard wire" an electric range nor use an old cord to install the new range.
All ranges can tip and injury could result. To prevent accidental tipping of the range, please read warnings and follow instructions for the installation of the Anti-Tip Device, including the anti-tip protective bracket."
REFRIGERATORS & FREEZERS
Olum's delivery teams will set your new refrigerator or freezer in place, plug it in to an appropriate accessible grounded 110V outlet, level it to the existing floor surface, and set the controls. The new unit will take approximately 1 hour to get cold and up to 24 hours to reach the set operating temperature. Door Reversals: If requested at time of sale the door swing on your new top or bottom mount refrigerator will be reversed by Olum's prior to delivery for a nominal fee. (Providing your model offers this feature.) If you require a door reversal after your delivery day a service technician will be dispatched for an additional charge.
Washers - Our delivery team will set your new washer in place, connect the new hoses (4 foot) to your existing hot and cold water supply faucets, hang the drain hose on your drain, and level the machine to your existing floor surface. Wood pallets and cement blocks are not suitable surfaces for proper performance of your machine.
The manufacturer does not provide a new 220V electrical cord with new electric dryers. If you purchase a new appropriate cord (both in length and type) at the point of sale our delivery team will attach the new cord, plug it in to an appropriate accessible 220V outlet, set the dryer in place, and level the dryer to the existing floor surface. We will not "HARD WIRE" an electric dryer or use an old cord to install the new dryer.
Olum's delivery teams will hook up both natural gas and propane gas. The gas shutoff needs to be directly behind the appliance. Olum's cannot connect gas lines where the shut off is below the floor or behind the existing wall.
Olum's delivery teams will reconnect your existing venting to the new dryer provided the venting is of adequate length, diameter, lint-free, and proper material. New venting is available for purchase at time of sale as well as by the delivery team at time of delivery. For safety reasons, we will no longer hook a dryer up to vinyl ducting.
Olum's delivery will set up your furniture where you instruct them, assembling what needs to be assembled, provided the item(s) was not sold as a customer-assembled item.
Olum's will set up your purchase. We can move the existing bedding into another room/garage or take it to the curb for you. We don't dispose of the existing bedding.
Even though extreme care is taken during the removal of your old appliance(s) Olum's cannot be held responsible for damage to old appliance(s) or damage to your home during the removal of old appliance(s).
